Wishing you a bright St. Lucia Day!

As part of our Advent festivities this year (and since we're a wee bit Swedish), we celebrated St. Lucia Day today candles and warm saffron buns, delightful this time of year in dark rainy Seattle. To top it off we sang Wake Awake for Night is Flying and read John 1 while we enjoyed our sweet rolls. It was a bright Advent morning.

Oh wow! Erik just got really excited because he celebrated St. Lucia day growing up (his mom is almost entirely Swedish). Was George the star boy? Erik had to be one every year and wear a cone hat. :) We should do a joint celebration next year!!

I love St. Lucia Day! We celebrated it every year growing up. Glad you enjoy it too! (My family just likes to pretend we're Swedish though...)
