Sorry about the awful pun. But here are my boys relaxing listening to "October Road" on the Ipod, and some brilliant fall vegetables I picked up from the local farmers market, too pretty not to share.
Last week George and I headed home to Rochester where I grew up. My parents have sold the house they built the year before I was born. There were torrents of memories there; so many things to thank God for. Wonderful to see family and old HS pals. And, on top of it all, George was a peach on the airplane.
We had a rip roarin time at the old county fair. George wasn't too sure about the animals, but the cow gave him some quality moos anyway. Feeling a little crazy, we hit the Hot Air Balloon Ride. George gave it two thumbs up and described it as "wheeeee" and"spin." Winter the bunny was a favorite too, especially since George got to pat-pat the bunny's backside. But the biggest thrill of the night was without doubt the greasy corn-dog.
